Nandi Hills

Nandi Hills, or Nandidurg, is a hill fortress in the south Indian state of Karnataka. Tipu Sultan Fort, a summer retreat of the namesake 18th-century ruler, features stone carvings and wall paintings. Prisoners are said to have been thrown to their death from Tipu’s Drop, now known for its panoramic views. Local Hindu temples include the hilltop Yoga Nandeeshwara Temple, guarded by a huge statue of a bull (nandi).

The panorama of the hilltop in the afternoon time

The early morning view
The Nandi statue

Nandi Hills is a good getaway to you and to your family too . I had visited this place twice in the same year if 2018 . And each time I went I discovered new sites of different view and the best part of the trip was about the Tipu sultan and his history and the places where he had stayed and all those were amazing . It’s really a breathtaking view when you go early in the morning around 6’o clock and can return in the afternoon when the sun becomes too sharp . There are a lot of people come and go everyday and there is even a place to stay on the hill and below the hill also . It is very famous spot in Karnataka and there’sa lot of movie shootings also done on the hill of the majestic morning view of the hills covered by the mist which is very beautiful . I would say ,if visiting Karnataka ,then Nandi Hills should be a must visit place .

Temple visit

Bangalore has number of ancient and famous temples dedicated to Indian god and goddess, most of the temples has large number of Gods worshipped as murtis or idol. And one of them which I have visited is the kote Venkataramana temple .

Kote Venkataramana Temple -God Venkateshwara:- This magnificent temple is the abode of Lord Sri Venkateshwara. It is one of the very ancient temples of Karnataka and Bengaluru in particular. It is a huge temple and has a spacious courtyard. Built by Chikka Devaraja Wodeyar in the 1600s, this temple exemplifies the Dravidian and Vijayanagara architecture. There are many carvings of animals and scenes from ancient Hindu mythological stories. The other deities worshipped here are Anjaneya and Padmavathi (Lord Venkateshwara’s wife). This temple sees unusual crowd gathering during the Vaikunta Ekadashi day (a festival dedicated to the lord of Vaikunta i.e. Venkateshwara). The temple is shares its wall with the Tipu Sultan Summer palace on the K.R.(Krishna Rajendra) Road, near to the K.R. Market, in Bengaluru. The people who are looking for a calm place can visit this temple,it’s pretty huge . Going there on a leisurely weekday could savor the experience. The timings are from morning 8 Am to 12 Am and the location : 39, KR Rd, Kalasipalayam, Bengaluru 560002

The Andaman Islands

The Andaman Islands are an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal. These roughly 300 islands are known for their palm-lined, white-sand beaches, mangroves and tropical rainforests. Coral reefs supporting marine life such as sharks and rays make for popular diving and snorkeling sites. Indigenous Andaman Islanders inhabit the more remote islands, many of which are off limits to visitors.

Havelock island is known for its dive sites and beaches ,like Elephant Beach ,with its coral reefs . Crescent-shaped Radhanagar Beach is a popular spot for watching the sunset . On the island’s east side, rocky sections mark long ,tree-lined Vijayanagar Beach. The island’s forested interior is home to birdlife such as white-headed mynas and woodpeckers . The Clean water ,good climate ,greenery everywhere ,nature’s creativity at its best ! The best of all is different colour water shades across the sea. Go for all the water activities ,specially for Snorkeling, scuba and sea walk or else your trip is incomplete without it .
